indoctrinated

· English

in this very small world without mirrors dwarfs never find out they are not the giants they so desperately believe themselves to be

in this world where few questions emerge from genuine curiosity and many from blatant pomposity

words are rarely weighed as they ought to namely considered in light of the powers that carry them and the impacts of their landing at their intended destination

but it hurts i know when you observe them soberly and see their journey so clearly and when you take and unpack and repack them and send them back with hope and faith just to see them burst mid-way into a million pieces shattered by iron domes

yet remind yourself despite the frustration that they are blinded by the light scared to see what lies behind for seeing in the dark may seem more comfortable to dwarfs as does listening to their own voices and repeating their own words fooling themselves into believing they are what some may call truth untouchable in its universality

while all their distressed clinging to their own ideas reveals their own doubts and fears for deep inside they know their words are not the truth but one truth among many at best

remind yourself as i do to find peace they are indoctrinated and so are you
